Shaquille O'Neil may have been one of the best centers to ever grace the hard court, but he was never the go-to person to make free-throw shots. Titus Ashby, the tiny free-throw phenom, made Shaq look even tinier.
On Thursday's episode of the ABC talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live", Titus showed everybody what a 2-year-old can do. Titus and his dad, Joseph Ashby, were asked to be guests in the show to challenge Shaq in a trick-shot shooutout.
The 7'1 former LSU center was placed up against Titus in a scientifically framed competition. At first, Shaq was being all friendly to the 2-year-old tot, but that was before things got competitive.
In an attempt to make it as fair as possible, the show leveled the playing field by adjusting the height and the distance of the basket in relation to their own height and size. The free throw competition saw Titus shooting from six feet away for his mini hoop, while Shaquille was shooting from 18-feet away, based on his 7'1-foot frame.
Shaq, the friendly giant, allowed the mini athlete to get the first turn. At first Titus was trying to get the groove on, but when he finally got the flow the kid sank eight baskets in just 30 seconds.
The former Laker then stepped up to the plate, pumping up the cheers from the crowd. The four-time NBA Champion seemed to have lost his shooting touch, ranking up a big-fat zero at the end of his turn.
The 2-year-old phenom was announced the champion, much to the cheers of the Kimmel-crowd. Confetti was also poured down on the young star.
Shaq accepted the defeat and gave the youngster a memento of the beating, one of his gigantic shoes.
Titus may have beat Shaq on the free throws, but whether his career in basketball would continue will remain to be seen.
