In time of the "Pokémon X and Y" video games, the animated series will also hit the airwaves in October.
According to a pamphlet seen at the Banpresto booth, the anime season featuring the sixth generation of the Pokémon franchise will debut in October 2013. No specific date or name was provided.

The "Pokémon X and Y" games are also set for an undetermined October date across Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America, however, it's unclear if the anime would also simultaneously debut in regions outside Japan.
At the moment, Japan airs the Pokémon anime 93 days ahead of the U.S. broadcast on Cartoon Network. For instance, Saturday's episode, "The Fires of a Red-Hot Reunion!" featuring the return of Ash's Charizard, originally aired in Japan on March 7. So, if the pattern persists, the anime season for "X and Y" would debut January or February 2014.
However, Pokémon fans don't have to wait until the October 2013 or early 2014 "X and Y" anime to see new sixth-generation Pokémon, as the next film for the franchise will feature the latest Eevee evolution, Sylveon, and the new Mewtwo form. As Latinos Post has been reporting, the next Pokémon movie will see Mewtwo return for a battle against a gang of Genesects. "Extreme Speed Genesect: Mewtwo's Awakens" (not the official English translation) will debut first in Japan mid-July along with a Pikachu short featuring Sylveon.
"Pokémon X and Y" will be exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.
