As summer kicks into full gear, SAMCRO beefs up its arsenal. During the offseason of "Sons of Anarchy," more and more of Hollywood's finest are joining the cast. Recent additions include Bridget Regan from "Beauty and the Beast" and CCH Pounder from "The Shield," but the producers didn't stop there. They continue to restock the bank in the wake of several brutal deaths in season 5, seemingly adding a new character every week.
This time around, "Southland" cop C. Thomas Howell will be signing on for a season 6 arc, according to TV Line. Howell will join the show as an ATF agent whose integrity and commitment to his profession is uncertain. Generally a new ATF agent can only mean trouble for SAMCRO, however this time around, he could be a helpful addition to the Sons.
Howell isn't the only new addition to "Sons of Anarchy." As previously mentioned, new actors hop on board everyday. By the time season 6 premieres, there will be too many characters to keep track of. Regardless, fans will be pleased to learn that "Shameless" actor Steve Howey will also be joining the cast. Howey will play Hopper, a ruthless rider from North Las Vegas who becomes intertwined with SAMCRO.
In addition to the cast adjustments, Sutter promised fans that season 6 will be the most violent yet, which is saying a lot in the wake of Opie's death in season 5. The show will pick up with Jax (Charlie Hunnam) at the helm of SAMCRO, while Clay (Ron Perlman) remains in prison. Jax is already feeling the heat from Lee Toric (Donal Logue) and the other clubs in Charming, so it will be interesting to see how he handles himself under pressure. Knowing Jax, he'll get done what needs to get done, even if he has to slightly jeopardize his morals.
"Sons of Anarchy" will return to FX this fall.
