The one spoiler that Comic Book News and Furious Fan Boys both revealed is the fate of Jonathan Kent. Superman's adoptive father dies in the film during a tornado incident. Aside from Kent, a number of other major characters meet their demise in the Zack Snyder picture. Man of Steel's biological father Jor-El is murdered by General Zod, who also disposes of Faora in the film. Finally, Superman's home planet Krypton is also destroyed during the film.
Aside from revealing major deaths in the film, the source reveals that Clark Kent, AKA Superman, learns of his origins and powers in a number of ways throughout the film. "Jonathan is the first to tell him where he came from after his powers start to show up. After discovering his hidden ship, Jonathan tells Clark more about his origins and gives him the key that was found with it," writes the source. "Clark also triggers a hologram message from Jor-El using the key that explains details about his home world. Later in the film, after Clark opens up the fortress, he talks with another hologram of Jor-El and discovers the suit and how it works and the source of his powers on earth."
Regarding the action sequences, the publication revealed that there were "three main battles... with the last being in Metropolis and a significant amount of the city is destroyed between the gravity ray that Zod uses on the city and the final battle with Superman and the robot space force."
Regarding Zod's fate, the spoilers claim that the villain is taken to a prison planet that Superman guards.
The source also points out that "a scientific explanation is given for all Superman's powers, and it grounds this movie and makes it feel even more real, or as real as a movie about a super powered alien can be."
The cast and crew have stated in interviews that Kryptonite will not make an appearance in the movie. However, the spoiler does assert that "Kryptonite is not used, but it has been discovered and is being studied."
"Man of Steel" hits theaters on June 14, 2013.
