The Mexican actress, comedian and singer, Angelica Vale, is ready for the second season of 'Parodiando' where she leads a team of 18 impersonators and comedians who are judged by a panel of judges composed by actress Carmen Salinas, singer Amanda Miguel, producer Pepillo Origel and impersonator Gilberto Gless.
Vale declared that she became part of the Mexican comedy almost by accident, as it was not in her plans to engage in humor. 'Little by little I was involved in this world and I stayed, but I think it's great because there aren't many women in it', she told The Associated Press in an interview reproduced by the website El Tiempo Latino.
The actress, famous for her role as Lety in 'La fea más bella' and her imitations of Latin stars like Veronica Castro and Gloria Trevi, explains that comedy "is a wonderful genre, very noble, and when people are having a good time, they remember your face when they laugh. You remind them that you amuse them and that they have a good time with you. You create a wonderful affection between the audience, is something that I wouldn't change for the world."
Last year a member of Vale's team was the winner of the first season of 'Parodiando', but the actress admits that she doesn't have a key to success. "You try to give them advice and try to train them to do the best they can, and once they leave the stage it's they who are participating", she said. "I was lucky to have picked the winner last year. Let's see if I have the same luck this year."
This experience is one that seems to lack in rival coach, Julio Sabala. "I like to be friends and rivals. When we are at war teams we're rivals and when we sat down to imitate we're friends, and the truth is that it's wonderful to work with him, I love it and I've been very happy," said Vale.
For the second season, 'Parodiando' will have participants from Puerto Rico, Peru and Venezuela, as well as new contests where contestants must show their talent. Some of these are:
- The Time Machine: Imitations of big stars, at different times and stages of their life.
- Secret Hollywood Files: Recreation of biggest movies ever in film history.
- Celebrities challenge : Showbiz and sport personalities will participate on the show and two contestants will have to imitate them.
Following the success of the first year of the contest, Angelica Vale is ready to repeat again in 2013.
