As the fourth season of "Pretty Little Liars" approaches, fans are reminded of what's at stake. Rosewood is on the brink of disaster, but what else is new. Season 3 left off with the Thornhill Lodge fire, and now fans can't wait to see how Aria and the gang will respond in the wake of tragedy. The image of the liars staring into Detective Wilden's car trunk is imbedded in our memories, and in less than two weeks, it will all come back.
Now a recent interview with Janel Parrish, who plays Mona, sheds some light on what we can expect from season 4.
"You will find out what or who is in the trunk and, as the season unfolds, you will find out who red coat is," Parish told On the Red Carpet. "It's going to be shocking."
"When we come back in the premiere we will start exactly where we left off, with us opening the trunk and finding out what's in it." The show is certainly not wasting any time. Season 3's major cliffhanger will be addressed within the first seconds of the show's return. But that's not the only thing from the season 3 finale that will roll over into the premiere.
"Well as you saw in the finale [Ezra and Aria] broke up. Fitz comes back to Rosewood as her teacher, so that's a little complicated, little reminiscent of season one," Parrish said. "So now it's this forbidden love again and Aria will try to move on."
"There may be some new Rosewood hotties coming to town. You know, they'll be some juicy things going on there between Ezra and Aria and then maybe a third love interest," she added.
"There are some new Rosewood hotties this season, so the girls will definitely be happy. New abs, yes, new smiles, new dimples." Among those hotties are Wyatt Nash from "Hollywood Heights" and Sean Faris from "Vampire Diaries," who will join the cast in a recurring role as a state police officer.
"Pretty Little Liars" will return to ABC Family on June 11. Watch Parrish's entire interview below.
