Finally, after months and months of trials and tribulations, it looks like "Justice League of America" will become a reality. Not only has Warner Bros. revised its timetable, but the studio has also nailed down one of the principle characters. There's still plenty of work to be done, however, it's reassuring to see that the movie is back on track.

Comic Book News reported that principle photography will start in January or February 2014 and a director will be selected sometime this fall. Fans will also be pleased to learn that Henry Cavill will sign on as Superman. There's one down, but others remain up in the air, such as Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern, Christian Bale as Batman, and Bradley Cooper as the Flash. But at least it's something. It may take awhile to put all the pieces together, however the movie will be released sometime in the next four years, according to a source at DC.

It's not surprising that Cavill snagged the role of Superman, as "Man of Steel" is believed to bring the Justice League universe together. One of the major snags in the film's production was bringing the heroes all together, as their originals movies all take place in juxtaposing worlds.

"The Justice League problem?" said the "Star Trek Into Darkness" writer Damon Lindelof. "I think a lot of that depends on 'Man of Steel.' The Justice League problem is not a problem of, who is the bad guy that Wonder Woman and Green Lantern, Superman, whoever you decide to pit them against. The problem is: What's the tone of that movie? They've been struggling with launching their own tone. The tone of 'Green Lantern' is very different from the tone of 'The Dark Knight.' They clearly inhabit two entirely different worlds. You want to feel like someone is establishing a world where the Justice League can exist, maybe 'Man of Steel; is that movie. If 'Man of Steel' works, and it's great, I think it starts to make sense where Paradise Island is in that world. Because that's an entirely different world than the one Christopher Nolan introduced."

"Man of Steel" doesn't hit theaters until June 14, so it's still unclear if it will set the tone for the Justice League movie, however, Warner Bros. must be confident in its success if it's already brought on Cavill to play Superman. There are still many missing pieces to the "Justice League of America" puzzle, however, it's making progress, slowly but surely.
