Five months ahead of its release date, the Australian government has rated the upcoming "Pokémon X and Y" games.

The Nintendo 3DS-exclusive games were given a "PG" classification by the Australian Classification Board. The Board is a statutory body that classifies computer games, certain publications and films.

The PG rating was given for the games' "mild impact" on themes and violence. The Classification Board, however, noted the gaming experience may change once playing online.

With the classification numbers 258035 for "Pokémon X" and 258037 for "Pokémon Y," the Board reassured there is no foul language, drug use, nudity or sex.

The PG rating is a change from all four fifth-generation games. "Pokémon Black and White" and sequels "Black 2" and "White 2" were given a "G" rating. The fourth-generation "Diamond," "Pearl," and Platinum" games were the last to receive a "PG" rating.

The Australian rating comes as the box arts for "X and Y" were revealed with new legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal serving as respective mascots. In addition, the sixth-generation game will take place in a star-shaped region named Kalos, which features mountains and rivers and Lumiose City serving as the central hub of the area.

"Pokémon X and Y" will be released in October, simultaneously across Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America for the Nintendo 3DS.
