In what was a sensational night for music, Latino artists made their presence felt in a big way at the Billboard Music Awards.
Superstar Selena Gomez made jaws drop when she strutted her stuff onstage for the opening act in a gold-studded dress to perform her hit single, "Come And Get It." Her show-stopping Bollywood moves, like the ones she used at the MTV Music Awards, helped kick off the show.
Next up, Pitbull pulled double duty at the awards show when he teamed with Ecuadorian descentent Christina Aguilera for a rendition of "Feel This Moment" and then with Puerto Rican superstar Jennifer Lopez for "Live it Up" at the awards show.
Even in death, Latina music star Jenni Rivera managed to have one more shining moment Sunday.
In the backdrop of the nationally televised music awards show, Rivera won two posthumous awards, the Latin Artist of the Year and the Latin Album of the Year award. Rivera, who died in a plane crash in December, took home prizes thanks to her last album, "La Misma Gran Señora," which helped her get a leg up on Latino stars such as Prince Royce and Romeo Santos.
And Brazil's Michel Telo took home the Latin Song of the Year award for "Hasta Que Salga el Sol". In a notable performance, Gomez' on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber helped thrill the crowd with a performance of his hit "Take You." Undoubtedly, fans and paparazzi alike were salivating at the thought of a little public romance that could have been displayed between the two stars, but that didn't happen.
