Jose Mourinho's return to Chelsea will be announced later this week. Given the coach's close relationship with Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, many have speculated that Mourinho would try to bring Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge with him.

However, recent reports indicate that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will not allow his top star to run off with Mourinho.

"The Special One was keen to take Real's Portuguese galactico to Stamford Bridge but Perez, fuming about Friday's Spanish Cup Final defeat by Atletico Madrid, is adamant that Ronaldo is going nowhere," writes UK publication The Mirror.

The report adds that Perez is devastated after incurring a trophy-less season. The team relinquished the Spanish league title to Barcelona after a poor start in 2012-13. The team was also eliminated from the Champions league in the semifinals for the third straight year. However, the final straw was an embarrassing 2-1 loss to Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey final. The loss was the first to Atletico since 1999. In that match, Mourinho was banished from the game after losing his temper with the referee.

Even if Ronaldo does not leave with Mourinho for Chelsea, it is still possible that the Portuguese superstar leaves Real Madrid this summer. Manchester United remains a popular destination for the striker, especially after a group of fans set up an online campaign called "Bring Ronaldo Home" to help the club raise money to buy Ronaldo.

"We are a team which consists of both passionate football supporters and enthusiasts for leading change. We are operating under the corporate entity, Equius Ltd based in the UK, but we are not here to talk about ourselves," says the website of the campaign. "All pledge details will be passed onto Manchester United as well as all funds raised. Man U club shop with the assistance of Nike will ensure that all pledges are fulfilled."
