Omar Borkan Al Gala, the model/actor who was kicked out of Saudi Arabia for being too good-looking last month, has opened up about his love life and overnight fame in an exclusive video interview.
"Yeah, I'm single," admitted the 25-year-old handsome hunk to Jessica Soho, an award winning broadcast journalists in the Philippines. "I'm looking for a good princess that actually could keep up with me," said Al Gala with a grin.
Last month Al Gala, who is originally from Dubai, and two other delegates from the United Arab Emirates, were escorted out of a religious festival in Saudi Arabia. According to the local media, the men were "too sexy for Saudi Arabia" and were reportedly deported from the country. However, that incident helped propel Al Gala's career as an Internet sensation, helping him acquire almost 1 million "likes" on his Facebook fan page.
In the interview, Al Gala says adjusting to his newfound international fame has not been hard.
"I started noticing that a lot of people are recognizing my face when I go out, especially in the malls and crowded places," said the Emirati photographer. "There is a lot of people like noticing me. There is a lot of people taking pictures of me and that feels amazing."
He added, "The attention is one of the things that every man in this world wants, especially from the girls, right? So every man wants to be in that place where he gets all the people's attention and everyone's looking after him. It happens to me and it feels great," Al Gala told "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho."
"Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" also interviewed Al Gala's manager, Abdul Salih, who says he client is more than just a pretty face.
"Good looks is not everything ... For him, I think it's more about passion. He did it all, not for the fame, not for the money, but for creating beautiful things. He did it with his heart and now it's circling back to him."
