'Scandal' closes its second season this Thursday and fans are anxiously awaiting to see what happens next to Olivia (Kerry Washington) and Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) as well as the rest of the gladiators after the mole was discovered to be Billy Chambers (Matt Letscher).
Olivia's team will also have to deal with the fact that David Rosen (Josh Malina), their newest member, was actually working for Billy.
ABC teases, "With the identity of the mole now closer than ever, Olivia and her team are in very real danger." What exactly Billy plans to do with the information on Defiance is anyone's guess but it can't be good. After all, he was behind that attempted mission to impeach Fitz last season.
Danger seems to follow Olivia in the season finale, with the promo showing her getting attacked by a masked intruder in her home.
As if their mole situation wasn't scandalous enough, there's also the issue of Fitz's infidelities coming to light. ABC teases, "Meanwhile, the latest White House scandal pushes Cyrus (Jeff Perry) to his limits."
A promo for the season finale shows Cyrus possibly having a heart attack or getting shot. Either way, Fitz's plans to divorce Mellie (Bellamy Young), marry Olivia and win a second term to office is sure to have Cyrus stressed out.
Showrunner Shonda Rhimes also told TVLine that fans should be prepared to left contemplating, "'What the hell can they possibly do next?! Because I think they just exploded the entire premise of their show!' But I'm glad we did that. It feels really good."
'Scandal' season 2 finale airs on Thursday, May 16 at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
