Astronaut Chris Hadfield is no stranger to rock music, having sung an awesome duet with the Barenaked Ladies' Ed Robertson about a year ago. This time, he's taken his musical talents to an even more cosmic level, recording a cover of David Bowie's "Space Oddity" in space.
The video has so far been viewed over 1.8 million times since Sunday. Hadfield first revealed the video on Twitter, saying "With deference to the genius of David Bowie, here's Space Oddity, recorded on Station. A last glimpse of the World."
Bowie himself seems to approve, Tweeting:

Luckily, Hadfield will not be suffering the same fate as "Space Oddity's" Major Tom. He will disembark the International Space Station later this evening via a Russian Soyuz capsule. He will land somewhere in Kazakhstan, with a few million more fans than when he left.
Hadfield was the first Canadian astronaut to walk in space. He was also previously the commander of the NEEMO 14 mission on the Aquarius underwater laboratory, living for two weeks underwater.
In 2010 he also became the first Canadian commander of the International Space Station, leading Expedition 35 after its December 2012 launch.
He has often been called the most social media savvy astronaut ever, boasting over 860,000 Twitter followers. He also created one of the most popular "Ask Me Anything" threads ever on Reddit. Hadfield is also an aspiring musician, having spent the past two years working on an original music album recorded in space. The first song from the album was released on Christmas Eve 2012.
