The first season of CBS exciting new drama ‘Elementary’ is coming to a close this week with a special two-hour finale. The Thursday night finale kicks off with “The Woman,” as Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) comes face-to-face with his presumed dead former lover Irene (guest star Natalie Dormer). Fans saw how Sherlock broke down at seeing her again in last week’s episode.
CBS teases, “As Sherlock reels at the reappearance of his former lover, Irene Adler, a series of flashbacks unravel the tumultuous events that led to his downfall into addiction.” A sneak peak into the two-hour finale shows Sherlock spiraling downward as memories of his past addiction come to haunt him.
The second half of the finale, entitled “Heroine,” will see Sherlock and Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) dealing with evil genius Moriarty once again. CBS teases, “Meanwhile, he and Joan once again find themselves in the cross-hairs of the enigmatic Moriarty, on the two-hour season finale.” The promo of the finale shows two people fighting in Sherlock’s home and one of them getting shot.
Could Sherlock finally get his revenge on Moriarty or will Moriarty get the best of him once again?
The season finale will feature a swarm of guest stars, including Natalie Dormer (Irene Adler), Erik Jensen (Isaac Proctor), Lucas Caleb Rooney (Duane Proctor), Arnold Vosloo (Christos Theophilus), Dominic Fumusa (Jordan Colvin) and others.
'Elementary' season one 2-hour finale airs on Thursday, May 16 at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
