Former boxing champ and current trainer Robert Garcia believes the fight between Manny Pacquiao and his ward Brandon Rios will be more entertaining than the recently concluded welterweight clash between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Robert Guerrero.

Garcia, who was named "Trainer of the Year" by Ring Magazine last year, said he sees a pulsating slugfest between Pacquiao and Rios when the two brawlers meet inside the ring on November 24 in Macau, China.

Garcia added that Pacquiao-Rios showdown is up to give boxing fans the kind of action and intensity they don't normally see in Mayweather's fights.

"His [Mayweather] fights are not as exciting as the fights of Pacquiao or Rios and the people will enjoy their fight," Garcia told the Manila Standard.

Mayweather is coming off clinical but nevertheless one-sided unanimous decision victory over Guerrero last Saturday in MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas. Despite another overwhelming showcase of footwork and agility, Mayweather sometimes received jeers from the fans because of the lack of action inside the square circle.

A former featherweight champion himself, Garcia thinks the fight will bring in the best of both Pacquiao and Rios because of their striking similarities in style and punching power.

"This is going to be a very exciting fight, a very explosive fight both ways. Both fighters have tremendous heart and both have tremendous power. Its going to be a great fight," Garcia added.

Garcia said he would never underestimate Pacquiao, even though he's coming from a devastating sixth round knockout loss at the hands of Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez.

"We have to be ready. Its not going to be easy. Pacquiao is very fast , he has shown the world he is one of the best f or many years so we got to prepare to fight the best," said Garcia, who also trains four-division champion Nonito Donaire and featherweight kingpin Mikey Garcia.

The Pacquiao-Rios fight will take place in the gambling capital of Asia in Macau. It marks the second time Top-Rank stages a boxing event in the City following last month's professional debut of China's Zou Shiming.
