The final season of Showtime’s hit murder drama ‘Dexter’ is just a few weeks away and the network is slowly releasing teasers to whet fans’ appetites. A few days ago, fans were treated to a teaser with Dexter’s (Michael C. Hall) most unforgettable kills in ‘The Final Symphony.’
In the latest promotional release, fans can see Dexter (Michael C. Hall) under wraps like his victims. Could it signify the end of the Dark Passenger’s mission? Or is it a nod to Dexter’s own murder?
Fans are also treated to a teaser following Deborah’s (Jennifer Carpenter) transition from rookie Miami cop to a killer and accomplice. Deb’s “Achilles’ heel” is her undeniable love for her stepbrother Dexter. Deb’s love “comes with a price” the video says.
Hall adds that his character “backed Deb into a corner” in making her choose between killing him or LaGuerta (Lauren Vélez). “Dexter feels a sense of responsibility for what’s happened to Deb,” Hall adds. “This season is about what Dexter is going to leave behind. A lot of that is wrapped up in his relationship with his sister because there is a direct connection between how Deb feels about him and his overall legacy.”
“I’ve destroyed Deb,” Dexter is heard saying.
'Dexter' season 8 premieres on June 30 at 9 p.m. EST on SHOWTIME.
