Tashir 2013 Music Awards: Enrique Iglesias To Perform As Honorary Guest

King of Latin Pop and Grammy winner Enrique Iglesias will be this year's honorary guest at the prestigious Tashir 2013 Award Ceremony which will be held at the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow, Russia on May 18.

"My fans from Russia and the CIS have always given me a warm welcome and support, and I am honored to speak at the Kremlin Palace on Music Award Tashir 2013," said Enrique Iglesias.

Tashir 2013 is a national award given to deserving artists whom exemplary contributions have enriched the Armenian musical culture. The highlight of this annual event is the gathering of great artists and musicians from around the world. They will perform at the State Kremlin Palace before the audience of the Russian capital. This will showcase the fusion of the classical and modern Armenian music.

Enrique Iglesias will be performing several songs on the gala concert. He is set to perform the opening number of the awards ceremony.

One of the highlights of the gala concert is the performance from the stars of the French musical "Notre de Paris", Hélène Ségara and Patrick Fiori.

Master-composer Tolibkhon Shahidi will be presenting his new work, the Dialogue Rhapsody, for piano and orchestra with the theme, tone of Aram Khachaturian in remembrance of the 110^th anniversary of the great Armenian composer.

Pianist Vartanian will execute the piece in the world premiere with the Russian State Symphony Orchestra of Cinematography by People's Artist of Russia Sergei on the violin.

Also performing on stage are Russian and European stars like Margarita Pozoyan, Nikolay Baskov, Kristina Orbakaite, Sofya Rotaru, Lubov Uspenskaya, and the world famous musician Jivan Gasparyan .

Among the representatives of modern Armenian music culture are contemporary folk-jazz band Armenian Navy Band, Grammy and World Music Awards Winner Arto Tunjboyajian, the famous folk duo Inga and Anush Arshakyans, singer Sirusho and participants of Eurovision in 2008 and 2009.

For this year, the Prize Tashir 2013 will be awarded under the following categories: Best Duet, Best Female Singer, Best Male Singer, Best New Artist, and Armenian Best Friend.

The nominees are Tata Simonyan, Arman Hovhannisyan, Armenchik, Sirusho, Lilit Hovhannisyan, Kristine Pepelyan, Martin Mkrtchyan, Kamo Seyranyan, Razmik Amyan, Inga & Anush.

Meanwhile, Viktoria Lopyreva, Andrey Malakhov, Garik Martirosyan and Tatiana Gevorkyan will be the hosts for the Tashir 2013 National Awards Ceremony. Live telecast of the awards night will be made available to all Armenia residents via the "Armenia TV".
