Floyd Mayweather Jr. recently earned another sensational win over Robert Guerrero but the undefeated American boxer is already giving hints on who will be his next opponent.

Apparently, the camp of Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez has a lot of negotiating to do for him to arrange a lucrative clash with money.

So far, the WBC middleweight champion isn't the favorite to land a date with Mayweather inside the ring, mainly because of his unfinished business with Austin Trout.

In a post-fight press conference on Saturday, Mayweather believes Canelo still has to win convincingly against Trout after his controversial unanimous victory over the American boxer.

Canelo cruised to a one-side unanimous decision victory, but several boxing analysts thought the fight could have gone either way.

"I've got several names I'm thinking about for my next fight...If I were to choose Canelo and then beat Canelo... I thought Canelo's fight with Trout was a lot closer than they had it. If me and Canelo were to fight and he took a loss, they're [the fans and media] are going to come up with another opponent," Mayweather told reporters during the post-game press conference, according to 24/7 boxing.

Mayweather, who pocketed a fight purse of $32 million, is still studying his options for his September 14 bout.

Early candidates in the Mayweather sweepstakes are lightweight kingpin Danny Garcia, Lucas Matthyse, Lamont Peterson and Devon Alexander.

A rematch with former middleweight champ Miguel Cotto is also a possibility while Amir Khan believes he has the tools to hand Mayweather his first loss in his legendary boxing career.

"I am getting big for the weight...I could be one fight away from the Mayweather fight if things go to plan. To beat Floyd you have to beat him at his own game...you have to use speed. Of all the fighters who can face him I would have a chance because of my speed. I have got the speed and the ability that can cope with him," Khan told Boxing Nation on Saturday.
