This weekend Nuestra Belleza Latina opened the show with homage to Mexico in a Cindo de Mayo celebration. The contestants danced a number with Brandon Peniche, Harry Geitner, Rodney Figeroua and Jorge Aravena.
After the dances, the judges were introduced but Osmel Sousa was not there. Sousa sent an email from Venezuela in which his doctor's stated that he needed to rest and could not return for the remainder of the program. However, Sousa surprised audiences as he entered the stage with fireworks.
This week the girls went to "El Gordo y La Flaca" where they had to present news from the magazine TVy Novela. Raul de Molina taught them how to be anchors on the program.
For this week's Maybelline challenge the contestants were asked to go to New York and choose clothes based on words that described their personality. The winner of the challenge ended up being Barbara Falcon.
Next Giselle Blondet announced that the Marina was the first at risk of elimination because she had the least votes from the public.
Chino y Nacho then performed their new single while the girls changed and prepared for their next challenge.
The judges asked the participants to dance with one of the stars. Barbara Turby and Zuleyka had to dance with Peniche. Gil said the two girls were very good while Jones said that they looked like they were enjoying it. However, Sousa said that Turby was exaggerated and Zuleyka was not good at all.
Vivana and Marisela then danced Regional Mexican with Geitner. Gil said that the girls were great and charismatic. Jones also agreed and said they were exciting and entertaining. Sousa hoever said that Geitner was the standout.
Marina and Odaray then danced with Jorge Aravena. Gil said that Odaray was the better of the two. He said that Marina was too slow. Jones also agreed with Gil but said that Marina was a bit better then she expected. Sousa defended his teammate and said that Marina was very good.
The last dance was interpreted by Falcon, Audris and Rodney Figueroa. Gil said that Audris was weak while Falcon was brilliant. Jones said that Falcon was the better of the two and Sousa said that Figueroa danced well and should dedicate himself to ballet. He added that Falcon overshadowed Audris.
After the dances, the judges picked Zuleyka and Audris as the weakest in the challenge. The rest of the participants then saved Audris and Zuleyka became the second at risk of elimination.
At the end of the show the judges saved Marina and eliminated Zuleyka.
The next episode of Nuestra Belleza Latina will be aired on Sunday at 8 pm on Univision.
