Miley Cyrus' fans have spoken. The singer/actress has topped Maxim's Hot 100 list this year -news the former teen star broke herself via a tweet on her Twitter account on Friday.
"Didn't know this was coming out yet! I'm so happy to be #1 on Maxim's HOT 100! #myfanskickass #dreamsdocometrue," tweeted the star even before the magazine officially released the list. The tweet was accompanied by a sexy photo of Miley in association with the publication.
The image shows the new daring look of Miley--a far cry from her Disney Channel days as Hannah Montana. Cyrus wears a gold swimsuit with gold jewelry in a white background. The 20 year-old star is also seen with heavy eyeliner and short hair.
The image was also posted on her new Instagram account with the caption "My 1st Instagram is dedicated to all my fans. Thank you for crowning me #1 [on] Maxim's Hot 100."
Earlier this year, Cyrus urged her fans to vote for her on the Hot 100 list. On Twitter, she asked her 11 million followers to "Keep votinggggg" for her to make it to the list, together with a link to Maxim's site. Staying true to being a 'smiler'--as her fans are called--they wasted no time in voting for the pop star, bringing her to the top spot from last year's 68. Miley also dethroned 2012's number 1 sexiest woman, Bar Rafaeli.
Miley Cyrus rose to fame in 2006, after starring as the lead in the Disney Channel sitcom, Hannah Montana. Miley has also released two albums and went on a number of tours. However, over the past year, the young star has been shedding her teeny bopper look for a more sexy and sultry image. She has released a number of daring music videos, as well as gracing the cover of magazines flaunting her body.
