Is Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) one step closer to discovering the true identity of Moriarty and learning the truth behind his beloved Irene Adler’s death? That’s what fans will find out during Thursday’s episode entitled “Risk Management.” In this week’s episode, called “A Landmark Story,” Sherlock and Watson (Lucy Liu) not only uncovered another one of Moriarty’s hired assassins, but also got a call from the mysterious evil genius himself.
The upcoming episode will pick up where the last one ended, with Moriarty’s supposed phone call. “Sherlock agrees to take a case from a man claiming to be Moriarty, hoping it will bring him closer to finding his nemesis,” CBS teases. Fans will remember that during the phone call, the man who says he is Moriarty tells Sherlock, “You want answers, but before I require something of you.” Could Moriarty be leading Sherlock astray or could he be providing him with a clue to his answers?
Meanwhile, CBS teases, “Gregson (Aidan Quinn) encourages Joan to give up the dangerous line of work she has chosen and go back to being a sober companion.” Joan has heard it all before and she seems very much attached to Sherlock and her new line of work, but will Moriarty’s appearance be too much for her?
Fans will also get to see guest star Natalie Dormer take up the role of Irene Adler, Sherlock’s former girlfriend, in a drama-filled three episode arc concluding with the season finale on May 16. “Risk Management,” will also include guest stars Adam Godley and J.C. MacKenzie.
'Elementary' S1E22, "Risk Management," airs on Thursday, May 9 at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
