Production on "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" hit Times Square last week, causing minor delays and attracting masses gawking fans, but in such a big city, it's easy to compensate for the disruption. In a smaller area however, such a large production could wreak havoc on the flow of traffic. By shutting down one or two of the major roads, unparalleled mayhem could ensue. Unfortunately for Rochester, New York, that's exactly what's about the happen.

The cast and crew of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" are packing things up and headed north. They've had their chance to scour the extravagant New York City streets, but it's time to head on out. Once in Rochester, the city will have to make way for the Spidey production, altering bus routes and shutting down its main drag.

Main Street from Plymouth to Clinton Avenue will be closed to all vehicles. Several streets off of Main will have limited access and St. Paul Street between Andrews and Main will close intermittently. Not only that, but residents will have to change their daily commutes to work. The bus that normally rides down Main Street will run along the narrower Broad Street, which is bound to be overly congested due to the traffic complications.

"I feel as it's a inconvenience for people catching the bus," said Jeff Anderson, a Rochester resident. "You might wake up late trying to get out and get to work and you're rushing it. It's a delay."

The city encourages those who need to travel downtown to leave 10 to 20 minutes earlier than usual. On Monday, fences, cones and other construction notifications  covered the downtown area. According to Governor Cuomo's administration, 200 crew members will be arriving into the city over the next several days. 250 additional local members and 150 extras will join them.

Although the production may cause complications, the team is expected to spend more than $600,000 during its stay, providing Rochester with a generous economical boost.

"It's showing that our city is actually something." Said G French. "I like it. I'm proud of it. It's an honor actually."
