Homeland's Claire Danes has reported that she is expecting her first child with actor Hugh Dancy.
The news of the pregnancy was reported by her reps as they confirmed the news exclusively to People magazine. Last year when the magazine interviewed the actress, People asked Danes if they had plans for a child. Danes stated that "There's definitely a chance, no plans yet. But yeah, that'd be fun and very Grown Up."
Danes is currently working on the second season of "Homeland" and while there was no official comment from Fox 21, a spokesman says that Danes' pregnancy is not expected to impact the production of season two in any way. There's no word yet on when the child is due or how many months pregnant the actress is.
Danes, who won a Golden Globe in January for her work in "Homeland," wed "Hannibal" star Hugh Dancy in a private ceremony in France in 2009. Danes will next be seen in the second season of Homeland which is set to start on September 30. Hugh Dancy will next star in the film "Dorothy of Oz" which is set to open in 2013 and in a new TV series "Hannibal" currently in pre-production.
Danes rose to stardom when she starred in Baz Lurhman's 1996 revisionist "Romeo + Juliet" set in a fictional Floridian city. She has since been in such hits as "Stardust," "The Hours," and "Terminator 3."
