Just a few days remain before the season 8 finale of FOX’s hit crime drama ‘Bones.’ Fans have witnessed the ups and downs of Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan’s (Emily Deschanel) relationship as they fight the bad guys while raising their baby daughter Christine. The April 29 finale, entitled “The Secret in the Siege,” is sure to keep fans at the edge of their seats as the show’s most infamous villain Pelant (guest star Andrew Leeds) makes his return.
Fox teases, “When evil tech genius Christopher Pelant returns to toy with the Jeffersonian team in their newest investigation, they discover that the string of murders that have been occurring are tied to FBI agents close to Booth.” Pelant’s return obviously doesn’t sit well with the team at the Jeffersonian, but especially turns Brennan’s world upside down.
According to TVLine, which gives an exclusive clip of Brennan and Booth, the situation has pushed Brennan “to her breaking point.” In an intimate moment with her guy, Brennan warns him, “You are not allowed to die.” Hear that Booth, no getting killed! The ordeal also forces Brennan to re-evaluate the future of her relationship with Booth. Could we hear wedding bells in season 9?
While Brennan focuses on her relationship, Sweets (John Francis Daley) “realizes that the evidence [from the investigation] seems all too familiar to him,” FOX teases. Deschanel also spills some secrets of the episode, telling TVLine, “He [Pelant] has no limit to the resources he can use. He has Hodgin’s (T.J. Thyne) money, he is living under another name…the sky’s the limit. He creates chaos.”
Deschanel adds that there will be ”multiple deaths” by the time the episode ends. However, it’s uncertain whether any of the major characters are among those numbers.
Guest stars of the episode include Andrew Leeds as Christopher Pelant and Beau Knapp as a suspect in the Jeffersonian and FBI's investigation.
‘Bones’ season 8 finale airs on Monday, April 29 at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
