"Iron Man 3" is just over a week away and spoilers have started to litter the web. Much conversation has been made over the Mandarin twist and even after-credits sequence. But what about the film's ending? Find out below how the story comes about.

For those who are still in the dark about the Mandarin, the villain is simply a concoction by Aldrich Killian performed by an actor named Trevor Cassidy. Stark discovers the façade when he heads to the Mandarin's home and finds him in bed with a couple of girls. After some intense questioning, the actor reveals the plot.
Stark discovers that Killian plans to attack President Ellis aboard the Air Force One. Iron Man saves the passengers, but Killian gets away with the President. The plan is to kill the president on television and for Killian to obtain Extremis, an experimental treatment that will cure crippling injuries.
On the rescue mission Iron Man summons all of the new suits he has created and controls them remotely. Iron Man captures an imprisoned Potts who has been injected with Extremis. However she falls to her apparent death; it is later revealed that she can actually survive thanks to the powers given by Extremis. Iron Man traps Killian in another suit that self-destructs. The villain survives but is subsequently killed by Potts' new powers.
In the epilogue Potts gets surgery to remove the Extremis while Stark destroys his suits and throws his chest arc reactor into the sea; he wants to devote more time to Potts.
Reaction has been mixed about the Mandarin twist with some fans on Twitter repulsed by the rendition of the iconic villain.
