With Disney's announcement that "Star Wars Episode VII" would be released in 2015, plot proposals have started to surface the web.
Australia's News.com asked for fan proposals of what they would love to see in the new "Star Wars" film. Some of the proposals included killing off Jar-Jar Binks and bringing back Darth Maul. The Binks propostion is definitely something fans have wanted since Episode I came out in 1999. On the other hand Darth Maul was killed off in that movie and therefore does not seem viable.
Other ideas came from the video game series "The Force Unleashed." Fans have mentioned their interest in seeing Sith lord Galen "Starkiller" Marek while others would like to see weirdly attractive squid head Aayla Secura.
Jedi Ewoks were also brought up in the conversation. Warwick Davis, who played Wicket in "Episode VI," has already expressed interest in playing a villain so many fans have proposed that a jedi ewok could turn to the dark side.
One of the most popluar proposals was to see the return of such beloved characters Yoda and Obi-Wan. The fans stated that bringing these characters back would bring back a lot of the fanbase the series lost when the prequels were released.
Other ideas included showing the symbolic demise of George Lucas through an event in the film and showing an incestuious relationship like that of Luke and Leia. The fans also stated that they would love to see new weapons as well as technological innovations in the world.
Ever since Disney announced the new film rumors have appeared. Recently script pages for a proposed TV animated show were posted on the web. According to Bleeding Cool the script's "story was designed to introduce the audience to themes and characters pivotal to Episode VII and beyond." However Disney never confirmed the show.
The past weeks have also seen various actors talk about their interest in the project. Dwyane Johnson, Diane Kruger and Kerri Russell have all expressed interest in the project.
Casting has not been announced for "Episode VII" but Harrison Ford, Anthony Daniels, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill are rumored to appear in the new film. J.J Abrams will direct the film with Kathleen Kennedy producing. The script is currently being written by Oscar winner Michael Arndt.
"Star Wars Episode VII" is slated for a release in summer 2015.
