Halle Berry has officially returned to the "X-Men" franchise.
After playing Storm in the 2000, 2003, and 2006 installments, the Oscar winner was absent from the most recent entries in the franchise. However, she has returned to her iconic role for Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Days of Future Past." More importantly, the first image of Berry in costume has been unveiled.
The picture shows Berry, arms outstretched, in her black suit. Her hair has been a point of contention for many fans due to the lack of a Mohawk.

Production for the film has started and pictures of Patrick Stewart and the set have already been unveiled. The film stars Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Boo Boo Stewart, Fan Bingbing, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore. Simon Kinberg, Matthew Vaughn, and Jane Goldman wrote the screenplay.
"X-Men: Days of Future Past" is slated for a July 18, 2014 release and will follow the July 26, 2013 release of James Mangold's "The Wolverine."
