Daft Punk New Album Update: Official "Get Lucky" To Be Released At Midnight, Updated Tracklist [Video]

Well folks, it has all come down to this. There have been fake leaked singles, rumors of a Coachella appearance and a slew musical ads, each one giving fans a tad bit more than the last. Although a new Daft Punk album is perhaps the most exciting news the music industry has generated all year, it's been a bit of a headache. We've been obsessing over its approaching release to the point of exhaustion. May 21 could not come soon enough. At least give us a single, something to tide us over, and please, no more of this fake leaked single gibberish. We want something official.

Here's an ad which Daft Punk released during Coachella last weekend featuring a brief segment of "Get Lucky."

Fortunately, Daft Punk have heard our cries. Tonight at midnight eastern time, the official "Get Lucky" will finally be released. The song features the smooth voice of Pharrell Williams and the funky Nile Rodgers on guitar. We've heard various clips and fake fan-made versions, but this time, we're finally getting the real deal, and knowing Daft Punk, there's going to be a lot of unheard material on the track. They always leave an element of surprise.

Daft Punk released the tracklist of their upcoming album Random Access Memories earlier this week via a Vine video and continues to roll out interviews from their promotional series with the Creators Project called "The Collaborators."
