Cuban born and Florida native Lazaro Arbos walked into our hearts and onto our television screen during this season of American Idol.

Lazaro's voice sparked viewer's interest, but what captured audiences was the story behind the 22-year old singer. Arbos' story of trying to overcome his severe speech impediment of stuttering and growing up with not many friends left judges with sadness in their hearts.

During the audition Lazaro belted out "Bridge Over Troubled Water." Mariah believed that this song was perfect for him because it told his story of what he had to overcome growing from a boy into being a man. Even during the interview, Lazaro's mother and father cried about the tragic childhood Lazaro had of teasing and bullying for his severe stutter.

Lazaro made it to the live shows and every week was able to show off his unbelievable talent to America. He fought to stay in the competiton but unfortunately his best was not good enough. Lozaro was the last man standing and was sent home after singing Michael Buble's Feeling Good. Arbos left the woman on the show to battle it out for American Idol Season 12 winner. He is not letting the elimination effect the rest of his career though. He has dropped hints all around twitter and different interviews that he is headed to the top of the entertainment world.

According to parade.com Lazaro told them during the interview that American Idol did so much for him including, "My stuttering has definitely subsided a little bit more. I think that part of that has to do with the fact that I've learned to control my nerves better."

After the American Idol tour Lazaro is hoping to act on the hit show Glee and maybe even take part on the comedy Modern Family. He also has dropped hints to followers on twitter that he might even be performing with Cher at an upcoming event. Although Lazaro has parted ways with American Idol he left by saying, "you ain't seen the last of me."

After the American Idol tour, Lazaro is looking forward to performing oversees, recording a pop album, acting in his favorite shows and just showing the world his talent. Although he didn't win the American Idol title he believes that he won for the boys of the show.
