William Levy recently stated that he was exhausted after the long hours on the set of his new telenovela "La Tempestad."
The actor confessed to being tired after shooting for 23 hours nonstop. He stated that the hours have been long because the weather in Veracruz has damaged the sets and have caused the production to be delayed. The actor told the press that he was shooting one of the hardest scenes in the series because it involved stunts the ocean and underwater filming. The scene consisted of his character saving a crew member after being shipwrecked.
Levy then told reporters that the reason he looked exhausted was because he finished filming at sunrise and then got on a plane to promote the project. The actor also revealed that he was having a lot of fun on set but that it was the most difficult process he had ever been part of. He added that the stunt work has grueling because he had never been part of so many action sequences.
"La Tempestad" has been in the headlines for the past months since production began. After many setbacks the protagonists recently revealed that production was going smoothly. However before that, Levy and Navarrete were criticized for taking 16 hours on a kissing scene and were asked to take acting classes because they had no chemistry. The production team also criticized Levy for his hard-to-understand Cuban accent obtained after working in America.
The series began shooting on Wednesday, March 6th in Veracruz. "La Tempestad" also stars, Laura Carmine, Ivan Sanchez, Jessica Coch, Diana Bracho, Cesar Evora, Alfonso Herrera, Latin Lover and Luis Manuel Avila. The series is based on the Colombian telenovela "La Tormenta" and is set to air in Mexico on May 13, 2013 on El Canal de la Estrellas.
