Coachella is like a grand entrance to the hazy tropical fever to the summer that follows. Dazed dreams become muddled reality as the months of freedom and love ensue. Music festivals serve as the perfect platform to toss the year's pent-up stress aside and lose yourself in the waves of exuberance. Coachella opens the door for what's to follow. It's the first major festival of the summer. It's a landmark, a coveted entity, a dream in itself. Coachella weekend is here, with summer by its side.

Coachella announced its lineup earlier this week, and while such an impressive bill should appease fans, many are discouraged by the sacrifices they'll have to make. With so many stellar performances, some of the festival's finest are bound to overlap. Two of your favorite bands are playing the same night, at the same time, and you can only catch one. This is not a desirable predicament. You might say to yourself, "I'll catch the first half of one and the second of the other," but what many forget is the lost time spent ambly fumbling through throngs of fans, many incoherent in the later hours.

So as you plan out your weekend schedule, here's a brief guide on how to manage your time in order to get all you can from summer's opening night.

Let's begin with Friday. As the night settles in, cooling sweaty, dancing fans from the day's festivities, the big names start to roll in. That's when decision making can become a bit more difficult. Top performers such as Local Natives, Modest Mouse, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beach House, TNGHT, Wolfgang Gartner, Band of Horses, Blur, Jurassic 5, Tegan and Sara, Earl Sweatshirt and Bassnectar (take a deep breath) all take the stage within the same five-hour time window. There's really no perfect way to navigate, but here's one option may or may not help, depending on your musical preference.

7:00-7:40 Local Natives - Outdoor Theatre

7:45-8:15 Modest Mouse - Coachella Stage

8:20-8:55 Beach House - Outdooe Theatre

9:00-9:20 TNGHT - GOBI

9:30-10:00 Band of Horses - Outdoor Theatre

10:05-10:30 Blur - Coachella Stage

10:30-11:00 Take a rest, drink some water

11:00-11:35 Jurassic 5 - Outdoor Theatre

11:50-12:30 Bassnectar - Sahara

12:30-End Catch the last few minutes of Earl Sweatshirts rousing performance that promises to have featured guests from the rest of the Odd Future crew. That's just one way to organize your time, as the options are endless. Below you can find the full schedule for Saturday and Sunday and can start planning out what should be one of summer's greatest weekends, and it's only just begun.
