Ryan Gosling Admits Real Customers Were On Set During Bank Robbery Scenes In 'The Place Beyond The Pines'

Ryan Gosling recently revealed that during the bank robbery scenes in his new film "The Place Beyond the Pines" real customers were on set.

Gosling's new film has already generated massive amounts of buzz due to its subject matter and his performance. He told Telegraph he had always wanted to rob a bank as a teen. He stated, "I've been thinking about a bank robbery my whole life, and I finally got to do it." He then talked about the robbery scenes and stated, "I'm there with the gun and I look down and people are just smiling. They were just enjoying the show and I think I spotted someone filming me on their camera phone as I robbed the place."

Gosling also stated that he related to the story because of his troublesome youth. He confessed that as a child he put his pet cat in the dryer, and once even set the house on fire. He even claimed that his mother had to give up her job up to take care of him.  He stated, "I felt like I was going crazy as a kid. I wanted to be man, get a job." He added "I felt bad for my mother, because it never stopped."

Gosling is currently gearing up for his directional debut "How to Catch a Monster" which is slated to star Ben Mendelssohn, Eva Mendes, and Saoirse Ronan. He will next be seen in director Nicolas Winding Refn's new film "Only God Forgives" and then in Terrence Malick's untitled project. The actor will then take a rest from acting.

"The Place Beyond the Pines" is currently in theaters and will expand nationwide in the upcoming weeks.
