The final countdown to "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" has begun. The official trailer is set for release this Sunday at the MTV Movie Awards as fans prepare for the November movie debut, but "Catching Fire" isn't the only Hunger Games news catching our attention. Lionsgate Entertainment has announced the filming dates and locations for the series' third installment, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay."
Production will return to familiar territory that has shaped the first two Hunger Game films, but will also turn north as the team gears up for its third movie. Production Weekly tweeted that filming for "Mockingjay" would begin September 16 in both Atlanta and Boston. The third and final "Hunger Games" novel will be divvied up into two separate movies.

"Catching Fire" was filmed in Georgia, in and around Atlanta, and also out in Hawaii late last year for the water-based Quarter Quell scenes. The "Catching Fire" director, Francis Lawrence, has also signed on to work on both Mockingjay installments.
To no surprise, star actress Jennifer Lawrence will also return as the young heroine Katniss Everdeen alongside other "Hunger Games" royalty such as Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone and Elizabeth Banks.
"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" will hit theaters November 22, while "Mockingjay" parts one and two will be released November 2014 and November 2015 respectively, marking November as the official month of "Hunger Games." Thanksgiving just got that much better.
