On the fifth week Osmel Sousa continued to be controversial making one of the worst April fools joke.
On Monday April 1st, he told his two teammates Barbara and Marina that they were eliminated. He told them that he was getting two replacements because they were terrible competitors. After getting completely shocked and upset, Sousa told them it was an April fool's Joke.
After the joke was shown, host Gisele Blondet told the judges that Julian's team had the most votes from the public with 41% of the vote.
The show opened with a dance number entitled "The Crown Dance" in which the 12 finalists performed. Blondet then revealed that the competitor with the least support from the audience was from Sousa's group and it was Lilia.
For their first challenge the girls were asked to do a dance sequence with an original theme. Julian's group picked an urban setting while Lupita's team picked a fantastical, candyland world. Sousa's team picked a chiaroscuro and more serious theme. The song they were asked to dance against was by Chino and Nacho's "Mi Nina Bonita." The group to win the best dance was Sousa's team.
For the next challenge the girls were asked to act and dance in front of the rain, and 90 mile per hour winds. Pedro Moreno and Rodrigo Vidal trained two of the girls for the challenge. The first to complete it were Odaray and Fernanda who acted out a scene. Odaray was given bad criticism because she was overacting and Fernanda was criticized for being too passive.
Audris, Zuleyka, Lilia, and Barbara Falcon were next but they had to model through a runway. The four were judged a bit better. Julian said Audris was the best while Lupita said Barbara was the most secure and projected the best. However Sousa said it was a disgrace and decided to take the four girls back stage. Sousa told them that they had to show that they were really worth being there and that they were truly terrible.
Barbara Turby, Viviana, Essined and Karina were asked to do a dance number with Mira Quien Baila star Maxi Iglesias. The first two were Barbara and Vivana who were given good criticism. Lupita said they both showed character while Sousa said that they were both spectacular.
The next video was by Essined and Karina who also danced with Iglesias. Lupita liked it but Julian thought they were out of sync. Sousa also did not like any of them and said that they could not dance.
Marisela and Marina then showed their video. However because they're video recording got messed up during post production they did not have to perform under the rain and wind. Instead they did an improvised acting skit in the dressing room. Julian did not like Marisela but excused them for the lack of preparation time. Lupita enjoyed it and said Marina was more natural. Sousa said that both girls showed they were prepared for whatever challenge they were confronted with.
After the judges reviewed the performance they chose Odaray and Zuleyka as the weakest of the night. They joined Lily as the threatened competitors.
The nine girls who were not selected were asked vote against one of the girls and ended up saving Odaray. Zuleyka and Lilia became the two girls who would then go against the judges.
At the end of the show Lilia was eliminated because she did not possess the skills to be a true Winner.
