On April 7th the 48th annual Academy of Country Music will hand out their prestigious Country Awards.
The awards show is expected to see many of the top Country artists performing and appearing including nominees Eric Church and Hunter Hayes as well as Garth Brooks and George Strait. Brooks and Strait will make history as they have never performed together.
Other performances will include Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson.
Presenters will include Faith Hill, Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood, Gary Allan, Chris Young, Eli Young Band Beth Behrs, Michael Chiklis, Sheryl Crow, Kaley Cuoco, John Fogerty, Kevin Frazier, Colin Kaepernick, Miranda Lambert, Scotty McCreery, Kacey Musgraves, Nancy O'Dell, Jake Owen, Keith Urban, Reba McEntire, Tori Kelly and LL Cool J.
Among the nominees include Church who scored six nods, more than any other artist this year. Shelton, Bryan and Aldean will compete for Entertainer of the Year with heavy weights Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift.
Shelton and Lambert will also defend their Male and Female Vocalist of the Year wins. Shelton faces Church, Bryan, Aldean and Toby Keith, while Lambert competes with Underwood, Swift, Martina McBride and newcomer Kacey Musgraves.
Other nominees include Big and Rich, Florida Georgia Line, Love and Theft, Sugarland, Thompson Square and The Band Perry.
The Awards show will also honor Dick Clark with the artist of the decade award, whose tenure with the show began in 1979.
The ACM Awards will be hosted by Shelton and Bryan and CBS will broadcast the show live at 8pm.
