Jeremy Irons is a well-respected actor. He won an Oscar in 1991 and has performed over 80 roles in his vast career. However, he may have picked up a few enemies after his recent comments on gay marriage.

During a conversation with the HuffPost Live, Irons insisted that "I don't have a strong feeling either way. I just wish everybody who's living with one other person the best of luck in the world, because it's fantastic."

He added, "Living with another animal, whether it be a husband or a dog, is great. It's lovely to have someone to love. I don't think sex matters at all. What it's called doesn't matter at all."

However, he did however bring up a controversial subject: Incest. "It seems to me now that they are fighting for the name, and I worry that means somehow we debase or we change what marriage is," Irons said. "I just worry about that."

"Could a father not marry his son?" he added. When host Josh Zepps responded that "There are laws against incest," Irons responded "It's not incest between men. Incest is there to protect us from having inbreeding, but men don't breed, so incest wouldn't cover that."

Irons recently starred in "Beautiful Creatures" and will next be seen in "Night Train to Lisbon." He is also set to star in "A Magnificent Death from a Shattered Hand."
