21-year old Brazilian phenom Neymar has been a hot topic of conversation for months with a heated debate over what the youngster should do with his career.
Many have stated that Neymar should stay in Brazil until after the 2014 World Cup. This group feels that at 21 years of age, Neymar needs to be fully mature emotionally before making the trip and should work on building himself physically before jumping into a more dynamic world of European soccer.
Then there is the other increasingly crowded camp that is urging the youngster to make a move to Europe's elite. Included in that list are Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Pele, and Zico amongst many others. This camp feels that Neymar needs to go to Europe if he has any hopes of improving his game and helping his country in the 2014 World Cup. This group feels that Neymar has little else to learn in Brazil and his stagnant performances for the National team of late are reflections of his lack of growth or development.
The most recent addition to the latter set of people is Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo who feels that the Brazil has nothing left to do with his current side Santos. "Neymar is undoubtedly an excellent player. He is going to be one of the best in the world when he decides to play in Europe. He is too talented to be limited only to Brazil," Ronaldo stated during an interview with Sports Spectacular. "He has had several proposals from clubs abroad, but he renewed his contract with Santos. Ideally the best time to leave for Europe would be before the World Cup in 2014. It would make him more mature and he would have more experience to lead Brazil."
