Lindsey Vonn was all jokes and smiles after being heckled about her romance with Tiger Woods at a recent event.
The Olympic skier and gold medalist was being honored alongside fellow skier Mikaela Shiffrin at the Vail Celebration of Champions in Vail, Colorado on Friday, March 29. Though she showed up wearing a brace on her right knee due to her surgery last month, the skiing champ was remained in good spirits and even made a joke about her boyfriend when a member of the crowd asked her how she likes to spend her free time. While she was answering the question, someone in the crowd interrupted her yelling out "Tiger Woods." In response, the 28-year-old blonde beauty broke out into a huge grin and quipped, "Okay guys, I play golf," with a laugh.
After unsuccessfully trying to hide their romance for months, the pro-athletes recently admitted that they were more than just friends in March. The pair posted their relationship status on Facebook along with several professionally photos. They admitted that they had been friends for "some time," before deciding to take their relationship one step further in the past few months.
"I guess it wasn't a well-kept secret, but yes, I am dating Tiger Woods," the Olympic skier wrote on her official Facebook page on March 18.
Vonn's friends tell Us that the relationship is rooted in a mutual understanding that may be difficult to comprehend from an outsider's point of view.
"No one else gets what athletes at that level go through," a source told Us. "They train all the time!"
