What were 16 college teams vying for the NCAA national basketball title have been narrowed down to eight-the Elite 8. And the action continues this weekend as NCAA Tournament action continues.
Friday night saw major NCAA Sweet 16 action as Trey Burke lifted Michigan over No.1-seeded Kansas in an 87-85 overtime thriller, No.1 Louisville beat No.12 Oregon 77-69, No.2 Duke marched on by beating No.3 Michigan State 71-61 and No.3 Florida ended No.15 Florida Gulf Coast's Cinderella story with a 62-50 win.
On Saturday, the action continues with Elite 8 action, as the No.4 Syracuse Orangemen take on No.3 Marquette Golden Eagles. Syracuse is coming off a huge 61-50 victory over No.1-seeded Indiana on Thursday while Marquette beat Miami 71-61.
Then in evening action, No.9 Wichita State, fresh off its 72-58 win over La Salle, looks to march on to the Final Fourl when the Shockers take on the No.2-seeded Ohio State Buckeyes, who survived a 73-70 thriller against Arizona on Thursday.
On Sunday, the action continues when No.4 Michigan looks to continue its run to the Final Four when the Wolverines clash with the No.3 seeded Florida Gators. And coach Mike Krzyzewski looks to lead Duke on the road to their fifth national title when they take on No.1 Louisville.
