The trailer to Richard Linklater's "Before Midnight" has been released.

Three months after the world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, Sony Pictures Classics unveiled the trailer. The film is the third installment to the Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke romance directed by Linklater.

The film tells the story of Jesse and Celine in Greece as they continue their romance two decades after the first installment.

The series began in 1995 with "Before Sunrise" which showed the couple when they first met in Vienna and then continued in 2004 with "Before Sunset" which showed them rekindle their relationship in Paris.

When "Midnight" premiered at Sundance and later at the Berlin Film Festival critics raved and stated that it was the first Oscar contender of the year. Variety stated "One of the great movie romances of the modern era achieves its richest and fullest expression in Before Midnight."

Hollywood Reported also enjoyed it and stated "Though this stage is harder to watch, audiences who have aged along with Celine and Jesse will treasure this new episode."

Linklater last directed the Golden Globe nominee "Bernie" with Shirley MacLaine and Jack Black and "Me and Orson Welles" with Christian McKay and Zac Efron. He also directed" A Scanner Darkly" with Keanu Reeves and Robert Downey Jr.

Hawke was last seen in "Sinister" and "The Woman in the Fifth" with Kristen Scott-Thomas. Delpy last directed and starred in "2 Days in New York." She was also seen in "The Countess" with William Hurt and in "The Air I Breathe."

"Before Midnight" premieres at the Tribeca Film Festival before hitting theaters on May 24th.
