Despite recent rumors of Hollywood couple Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev starring as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the upcoming "50 Shades of Grey" movie, another star duo is now snatching headlines. Two fan favorites, Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel are featured in two tantalizing trailers that prove to fans that they have what it takes to make the "50 Shades" movie a reality.
Unfortunately, both trailers are fan-made, but they're exciting to watch nonetheless. It's always fun to pretend, as many "50 Shades" fans know but are unwilling to admit. Check out the two trailers below.
Bomer is a perfect fit for Christian. He's got the looks and the persona the Universal Studios and author E. L. James are looking for. There's just one setback, he's 35-years-old. Although we know Hollywood can work wonders with makeup, it's still a concern for fans.
The same sentiment goes for Bledel. The star shined in "Gilmore Girls," but that was a long time ago. She may have the enchanting blue eyes we're looking for, but some fans are concerned that she may be too old to play the young, innocent 22-year-old college graduate. However, Bledel has withstood the test of time and still radiates youth and innocence.
Although it may be Bomer and Bledel today, with all the spiraling "50 Shades" rumors, who knows who will be the top pick tomorrow. For the role of Christian, Bomer is up against other fan favorites such as Somerhalder, Stephen Amell and Taylor Lautner. Bledel faces her own share of stiff competition including Dobrev, Lucy Hale and Ashley Greene.
There's still no telling who will be cast for "50 Shades of Grey," as neither James nor Universal has yet to make any official comments. All fans can do is watch fan-made trailers and drift off into "50 Shades" heaven.
