**Update** Lochte wins finals timing 4:07.06; Phelps finishes second. Both qualify for London's Olympics.
The swimming trials taking place in Omaha this week may give us a pre-Olympic taste of how next month's London games may play out.
In this week's first highlight swimming event, Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte will both be competing in the 400-meter Individual Medley (IM) finals after earning best times in their individual heats.
Phelps timed 4:14.72 in his heat while Lochte timed 4 seconds faster at 4:10.66.
The seed for the 400 IM final list as follows: 1. Lochte, 2. Phelps, 3. Chase Kalisz, 4. Tyler Clary, 5. Harris, 6. Michael Weiss, 7. Andrew Gemmell, 8. Robert Margalis.
The 400-meter IM finals begin at 8:02 p.m. EST (7:00 p.m. CDT).
