While "Pokémon X and Y" are months from release, fans can now enjoy the Nintendo-produced "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity," animation shorts online.
"Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity," which was released on March 24, gives the player the chance to pick a partner Pokémon among Axew, Oshawott, Pikachu, Snivy, or Tepig.
On Monday, Nintendo released the animation short "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity Animation Special Part 1," which features the player as the fifth generation water starter Pokémon Oshawott. He wakes up thanks to Pikachu, unrelated to the main anime series, who helps Oshawott in the new region he fell upon.
Nearly 28,000 views later, part two was released featuring Oshawott and Pikachu running out of a cave and nearly falling off a cliff.
The new trailer, which does not represent actual gameplay, features Eevee evolutions Umbreon and Espeon opening a Magnagate. Upon entering, the new Pokémon encounter trouble as they meet legendary Pokémon Kyurem, speaking in riddles.
"Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity" has an average selling price of $34.99. The game will be released in Europe in May 17, while Australia will experience the 3D game the next day.
