AMC's "Mad Men" is one of the most illusive shows on television. Not only is the show itself full of deception, but the network's handling of the show is oddly secretive. Unlike many shows on television, AMC rarely releases any spoilers or revealing details in anticipation of the series' return. Fortunately for fans, not all is lost. An official 30-second season six trailer has been released and provides fans with a taste of what to expect.
Although creator Matthew Weiner doesn't show any unreleased sixth season footage, the compiled scenes selected from season five indicate which themes will be emphasized. One thing's for sure, Don Draper (Jon Hamm) is unhappy. What else is new? Despite the people who love and cherish his powerful essence, he's still alone, and he can't put a finger on why.
"But what is happiness? It's a moment before you need more happiness," Don reiterates in the trailer. "I'm tired of living this delusion... I am who I am. The next thing will be better." Something's about to give.
Season six of "Mad Men" will premiere April 7 at 9 p.m. with a two-hour special on AMC. In case you missed the fifth season, you can now watch it in its entirety on Netflix.
We're less than two weeks away from the celebrated series' return. Hopefully we'll get some actual season six footage from the protective hands of AMC in the meantime.
