Newly single songstress Katy Perry is not letting her recent split from John Mayor bring her down!
The 28-year-old pop singer looked gorgeous and upbeat at Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards on Saturday wearing a blue bra top and matching skirt by Hervé Léger by Max Azria. She also took silly pictures with actresses Kristen Stewart and Selena Gomez. [See photos.]
The "Wide Awake" singer beat out Pink, Taylor Swift and Adele to win the Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Female Singer.
"I love the kids!" she screamed while accepting her award on stage at the USC Galen Center in L.A. "Stay safe and stay in school. Have a good time, stay in school!"
Stewart and Gomez were also big winners at the award show. The Twilight actress won the award for Favorite Movie Actress and the "Spring Breakers" star won Favorite Television Actress.
Last week US Weekly reported that a number of sources have confirmed that Perry and Mayor have broken up. "It's sad," an insider told Us, but thinking more optimistically added, "It's not over until it's over. You have to see how things play out." Another source said, "She's leaving the window open. They have both been so focused on work."
According to Us Weekly, insiders blamed the couple's careers form demanding too much attention, as Mayer is preparing for upcoming tour dates and Perry is working on her third album.
The singers began dating last summer but took a break in August 2012 before they got back together the next month.
