With "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," fans may forget that there's still more to come. It's a relief to know that once the "Catching Fire" flame burns out, part one of the third installment of the "Hunger Games" trilogy will be close behind. In very early anticipation of the conclusion to the epic series, it's rumored that "Pitch Perfect" star Rebel Wilson may land a role in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" movie.
The actress and upcoming MTV Music Awards host has stuck to comedy throughout her career, but a role in "Mockingjay" will prove that she's ready to begin branching out.
"Um, seriously, I have had a meeting about being in 'The Hunger Games. Yes," Wilson told Buzzfeed. "It was one of the people in the capitol. That's all I'll say."
Wilson never said which "Hunger Games" film she's been considered for, but as filming for "Catching Fire" is set to wrap this month, it's unlikely that she'll make an appearance in the current production. Then again, who knows? Perhaps "Catching Fire" is a bit behind schedule. Remember that we have yet to see an official trailer.
"There aren't a lot of roles open, because they've all already been cast, but that would be awesome," Wilson said. "I'd love to be in 'The Hunger Games.'"
Wilson even had the divine pleasure of meeting "Hunger Games" star and recent Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence. "I met her at a party and she was super-duper nice. She's really quite tall. Which I found - I don't know if you get that impression when you see her in movies, but she's quite tall."
Part one of "Mockingjay" is still a ways away. It's always exciting to look ahead, but for now, let's bring our attention to the "Catching Fire" trailer, or lack thereof. Let's see it already! There's only so much anticipation fans can take.
