Oh my, oh my, oh my. The new Daft Punk album is just about here. The electro pop duo has remained quiet on information regarding of their follow-up to their 2005 Human After All, but their fan site recently posted proof that it's well on its way.
Sony Music has registered 13 untitled tracks via PPL. Sony Music owns Columbia Records, who recently struck a deal with Daft Punk, and PPL is a UK-based organization that licenses recorded music and distributes royalties where they're deserved.
The post didn't say much, but gave fans the first glimpse into what expect on the upcoming album. There are 13 tracks, ranging from 3:48 to 9:04. More than anything, the news confirms that the album is right around the corner. Although no further details have been released, collaborator Nile Rodgers maintains that there's a new record coming out this year.
"The next time I set foot in Japan, my collaboration with Daft Punk would have started to hit people's eardrums," Rodger posted on his blog earlier this year. "No matter how it ends, 2013 won't be boring!"
