William Levy has caused producers to change the script of his latest telenovela "La Tempestad."
According to Terra.com the actor returned from the U.S with a hard to understand Cuban accent forcing production to make changes to the script. The production team called his new accent a complete headache and complained about his lack of preparation for the work.
In addition to Levy's issue, the production complained about co-star Ximena Navarrete's acting inexperience. Production has slowed down and many scenes have had to be repeated. Insiders have also stated that scenes are usually supposed to take up to two hours but have taken longer because Navarrete gets nervous and forgets her dialogue.
Salvador Mejia is also contemplating postponing production due to the extreme weather conditions in Veracruz. He is also worried about postponing the television premiere of the series because of delayed production.
Recently Levy revealed the new tattoo he got done for the series. He stated that he had two done but one was hidden. He also showed off his new hairdo for the series which was criticized heavily by the actor's large fanbase.
Navarrete beat out actresses Silvia Navarro, Angelique Boyer, Sandra Echeverria and Elizabeth Gutierrez for the role of Marina.
The series began shooting on Wednesday March 6thin Veracruz and will move to the studio after filming on location. "La Tempestad also stars Ivan Sanchez, Laura Carmine, Jessica Coch, Diana Bracho, Cesar Evora, Alfonso Herrera, and Luis Manuel Avila. The series is based on the Colombian telenovela "La Tormenta" and is set to air in Mexico on May 13, 2013 on El Canal de la Estrellas. A U.S release has not been issued.
