Honda unveiled the Civic Tourer concept vehicle at the Geneva auto show this month that will translate into a production model Civic wagon for the European market.
And the concept rendition has taken some styling cues from the Euro Civic, including the front fascia. But there are some additions that can be seen on the Tourer concept like LED headlamps and LED lights on the outboard on the front of the vehicle.
There are also other design features that are similar to the Euro Civic hatchback, but the wheels, elongated roof structure and rear overhang are slight differences that exist on the Tourer concept.
Even the automaker said that the concept "shares much of the same DNA as the Civic hatchback" and that they hope to offer competitive cargo space and styling in its class.
There hasn't been much more information regarding the powertrain of the Tourer concept, but Car and Driver reports that both the gasoline and diesel engines found in the Continental Civic will be offered on the production model: A 1.4-liter gasoline engine that rated at 98 horsepower and 94 pound-feet of torque and another gasoline-powered 1.8-liter engine that produces 139 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque. For diesel, a 1.6- and 2.2-liter engine are expected to be available that produce 118 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque and 148 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
The production model of the Honda Civic Tourer is expected to go on sale before the end of the year.
