The original AMC series "Mad Men" is finally making its way back to television. In anticipation for the upcoming sixth season, the network has begun releasing new promotional material to poke at avid fans' appetites.
"Mad Men" is known to be a very secretive series, much like its protagonist Don Draper. AMC rarely releases any specifics of what to expect, leaving fans to sit and wait in tormenting agony. However, this time around AMC has pleasantly surprised fans by releasing a behind-the-scenes video alongside a new poster.
The video doesn't show any footage from the upcoming season, but features brand new never-seen-before interviews with the cast and creator Matthew Weiner.
The official season six poster doesn't provide much insight into where the new episodes are headed, but it does hint at which key themes will carry on through the new season. The poster features Draper holding hands with an unseen beauty on Madison Ave. Draper looks distraught and aloof, as always, as he passes by a man who oddly resembles himself. Oh, and there's a group of policemen blocking the avenue.
Why are there two Drapers? Does one represent his secret past identity? Why can't we see whose hand he's holding? Is he no longer loyal to Megan? What could Draper be involved with that catches the cops' attention?
All these questions will have to wait. The behind-the-scenes video and new, impressively sketched poster should keep eager fans at bay for the time being.
The sixth season will premiere on AMC April 7.
